Various Artists - IN PROGRESS  VOLUME III

You can buy new CD HERE or in LAZNIA Centre for Conteporary Art (ul. Jaskolcza 1, Gdansk).

In Progress is a series of live events focused on experimental contemporary music,  often combining music with theatre, para-theatrical activities, dance, film and audiovisual art. It is a project that allows not only to listen, but also to understand latest trends in Polish and foreign music.

The project has been realised by Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdańsk since 2002. Currently, it is the only series of this kind in the whole Poland, and possibly also in Central Europe.

The main goal of the In Progress series is to bring Polish and, above all, local audiences to performers of broadly understood experimental and avant-garde music. The aim of the series is to show artists presenting a variety of approaches to creating sonic structures by using such diverse sound sources as singing and acoustic instruments, both treated conventionally and non-conventionally, self-constructed instruments, modular synthesizers and broadly understood computer technology supporting the creative process. The definition of experimental music allows both the widespread and unusual use of all these means of expression.
