Book Expanding the world. Masaki Fujihata and the art of hybrid space-time edited by Ryszard W. Kluszczyński explores the artistic and cultural consequences of the development of augmented reality technology. Her reading proposes a reflection on a fluid, unstable, constantly transforming hybrid reality. The book follows the exhibition of the Japanese artist Masaki Fujihata Expanding the world. The book's focus therefore lies precisely in the creativity of this world-renowned, innovative artist using new media technologies at work. Fujihata's creativity combines participation, interactivity, virtuality, hybridity, location and mobility - the basic features of modern cyberculture - and aesthetics meets with cognitive reflection on the technologies used and their cultural significance. Augmented reality has been present in Fujihata since the beginning of the 1990s, and is now becoming a dominant position. Individual chapters of the book were prepared by: Dominique Cunin and Mayumi Okura, Anne-Marie Duget, Erkki Huhtamo, Ryszard W. Kluszczyński, Machiko Kusahara, Anna Nacher and Emilia Sosnowska.
