You are kindly invited to visit the studios of artists who are currently on their 3 months long artists residency programme. The idea behind open studios is to expose spaces inaccessible to the public on daily basis. Spaces where resident artists live and create during their stay in Centre for Art Education Łaźnia 2. It will be an opportunity to exchange ideas and remarks, get acquainted in a cosy and informal way with the workshop of our guests.

The title of the event comes from the differences and word games in Korean and Chinese. 오라 [oh;ra], the Korean word when pronounced means ‘come to me’, while in Chinese its phonetic counterparts are 俉 and 裸. They mean “Greetings” and “Nudity.”

Jia Qiu, Jin and Bareun play with these differences in meanings and invite us to their private homes for a cup of tea.

Our guests have been discovering Gdansk for almost 3 months.  In their open studios we will see the outcome in the shape of photographs and video installations. The artists wish to emphasize that it will not be an exhibition.  Open studio is simply a way of spending time together.
