Gilles Aubry (1973) – Swiss, lives and works in Berlin, he plays saxophone, clarinet and computer music. He studied in the Swiss Jazz School (Bern), Mannes College of Music (NYC) and in Bruckner Konservatorium (Linz).

Gilles Aubry writes concert music, creates soundtracks for films and theatre and works as a performer. He is also well known for his sound installations (for example “Flow”, “Siliconata”, “Trafic”). He is also a member of the LLOOPP group of programmers who create music software.

Aubry has played with musicians such as Manfred Hoffer, Steve Buchannan, Bertrand Denzler, Eric Truffazo, Riccard Dal Fra, Bob Berg, Adam Nussbaum, Bob Mintzer, Rachied Ali, Perry Robinson, etc. He cooperates with many bands including Swift Machine, Aubry/Hoffer duo, Mono No Aware, Habbestad/Bruisma/Field/Aubry 4tet, Neocolore, Aubry/Bariletti/Chessex TRIO and Chameau Cru. He is also well known for his unique improvisational style of computer playing.
